Some wins mean a little more, and this one was something special! After years of battling a team we haven't been able to defeat, our Lady Rangers showed up ready to fight and walked away with an incredible five-set victory!
Every set was a battle, with only a couple of points separating us until we reached that decisive fifth set. We fought for every single point, trusted one another, and refused to back down. Our offense had an amazing mix of front-row and back-row attacks, our defense was digging up just about everything, and our blocking and coverage were better than we've seen all season. The girls knew what they needed to do, and they went out there and executed!
Our co-captain and setter, Brylee Evans, continues to be the heart that holds this team together. Her heart, hustle, leadership, and refusal to give up are contagious. She leads by example and keeps fighting right alongside her teammates.
This win belonged to EVERY SINGLE PLAYER. Everyone contributed, everyone fought, and everyone played a part in making this happen. This is what teamwork, grit, trust, and believing in each other look like! As their coaches, Tayler and I couldn't be prouder of this group of girls. They have worked hard, battled through long rallies, and continued to grow together. Last night, they proved to themselves what they're capable of when they refuse to quit and fight for one another.
A huge thank you to our amazing Rangers community for showing up and supporting us at last night’s league match! The energy you brought into that gym was incredible, and our girls felt every bit of it. Your cheers, encouragement, and belief in our team helped fuel us through every tough point and every set. We are so grateful to have such an incredible family of fans standing behind us. This win wasn’t just for our team on the court; it was for our entire Rangers family! Thank you for being part of this journey and for reminding our girls that they have a whole community cheering them on. Once a Ranger, always a Ranger!
